The Route

Jimmy and Jenny hit the road for 5 days of Father-Daughter bonding. The plan is to share the planning and share the driving whilst maintaining decorum (separate rooms, of course!). The objective is to traverse the one bit of B.C.'s highway system that neither of us have driven along (or been driven along), that being Highway 20, the "Freedom Highway", running from Williams Lake to Bella Coola.

Dad is in charge of systematizing transport (i.e., gassing up the car) while I coordinate documentation (i.e., a map) and electronic elements (i.e., a camera). Exploration not exactly of the scope of Simon Fraser or Alexander Mackenzie, but it is a highly anticipated adventure, as well as a sort of exploration of the soul.

The Father-Daughter relationship is a special one, and we are lucky to be able to take time off together to do something we both enjoy and that will hopefully add a few more happy memories to the rather stuffed arsenal already accumulated.
